Noosa is renowned as one of the great Australian holiday destinations for families. Every day is a family day in Noosa with ample activities for big kids and little kids alike. Plan a weeks’ worth of day trips or beach adventures or follow our schedule to help you settle into the eat – swim – sleep – repeat daily grind, whilst keeping the kids active.

Early risers

Are you children early risers? Enjoy the best of the morning and head off to explore the Noosa National Park headland section before the sun gets too hot. At the top end of Noosa Main Beach, you can easily find Noosa National Park. Park your car near Hastings Street and walk or drive through to the National Park car park and enjoy several easy to moderate walking tracks that wind along the coast or through the rainforest and open woodlands. If your little one is still in the pram, the first section of the Coastal Walk to Dolphin Point (1.2km) is a sealed and barrier free path.

To plan out your morning adventure choose from one of the five walking tracks in the Noosa Headland Section detailed here.

On your way back stop by the Sails Coffee Cart for a caffeine hit to power through the rest of the morning, or sit, eat and watch the world go by at one of the many cafes along Hastings Street.

Morning activities

By now you are probably ready for a bit of down time. Set up the beach shade or shelter under the trees along Main Beach and enjoy splashing in the shallows with the kids.  A family favourite, the ocean is calm and clean, making it great for families with young kids and is patrolled by lifeguards all-year-round. If you are looking for something away from the bustling Hastings Street, have a look at our guide to Noosa’s Best Beaches.

When you start getting hungry, head back to your home away from home and take advantage of the camp kitchen, barbeques or if you are staying in one of our Villas, you can cook your meals using the hotplates and microwave. Otherwise, Hastings Street has many dine in or takeaway restaurants to satisfy your cravings.

Afternoon activities

After a busy morning you might not want to stray too far from home. Luckily, Noosa Caravan Park is here to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Sit back and relax by the heated swimming pool or children’s wading pool while the kids continue splashing around, or keep them busy in the children’s playground, games and recreation room or enjoying some of the many the caravan park facilities.

Take the family for a pre-dinner stroll along the sandy boardwalk along Main Beach before heading to dinner. For a relaxed dinner with the kids, with a view of Main Beach, you can’t go past the Noosa Surf Club Restaurant.

The evening will not be complete without a trip to Massimo’s Gelateria. Offering a wide range of flavours, from Ferrero Rocher to Salted Caramel, you are guaranteed to find something the whole family will love.
